2021 ESEA Grant Information

In addition to State and Local funding MSAD 58 also receives federal grants under ESEA. These grants must be spent on certain types of activities. The administrative team works collaboratively to use these dollars to support and improve education in the district. We seek your input on our plan for these funds. Below is the proposal for how funds will be used in the 2021-2022 school year.

MSAD 58 ESEA/Title Grant Funding Plan

 

Title I: Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged: $212,544.00

In MSAD 58 Title funding is used to support PreK-8 schools. Included in these funds are the salaries of our interventionist positions at KES, SES and PES.  In addition there is funding for PreK salaries and Homeless/Foster Care.  These early interventions are critical for providing students the best possible early learning experiences. 


Title IIA: Preparing, Training, and Recruiting High-Quality Teachers and Principals:  $44,735.73

Our Title IIA funding this year will be used for math coaching and professional learning aligned to district goals in reading, math and MTSS.


Title IV: Student Support and Academic Enrichment $21,507.09

Title IV funds will be used to support resources for instruction, including technology. 


Title V: Rural Education Initiative: $12,566.92 

Our Title V funds will be used to fund family engagement activities, professional learning, and educational technology to support teaching and learning. 


District Goals


  • 50% of students in MSAD 58 will meet their projected NWEA math goal 
  • 50% of students in MSAD 58 will meet their projected NWEA reading goal 
  • K-8 staff will have developed a more robust MTSS/RTI process in each building through a variety of professional development sessions in the areas of assessment and data analysis to raise awareness of data driven instruction, differentiated instruction and the use of intervention groups.
